Choose your basin
Start with the mounting format. The way a basin meets the wall, countertop or floor shapes the layout, the faucet choice and the installation work.

Choose a mounting format
| Format | Planning focus |
|---|---|
| Wall-mount basin | Wall construction, support method, fixing positions, exposed pipework and finished height. |
| Countertop basin | Counter depth, cutout or mounting arrangement, faucet reach and overall height above the floor. |
| Freestanding basin | Floor position, pipe routes, stability, service access and the relationship to the wall. |
| Basin with cabinet | Cabinet dimensions, door or drawer movement, plumbing space and the wall or floor support arrangement. |
These are starting points for comparison. Individual designs can have different support methods and connection details, so keep the product drawing beside the room layout while you review a shortlist.
Coordinate basin and faucet
Look at the basin and faucet as a pair. The spout needs to reach a useful position over the bowl, and its height should work with the bowl depth and rim. A faucet mounted on the wall, deck or counter also requires a compatible installation location. Ask whether faucet holes are present, optional or not part of the product configuration; do not infer them from a styled photograph.
Measure the working space
- Overall basin width and depth, including any integrated counter.
- Finished installation height and the height of a countertop bowl.
- Clearance beside walls, doors, drawers and other fixtures.
- Drain and water-supply positions relative to the finished surfaces.
- Space needed to reach connection points for installation and maintenance.
Check drain and overflow details
Confirm the drain opening, the intended waste fitting and whether an overflow is present. An overflow-equipped basin and a basin without one can need different compatible drain arrangements. Have the installer verify the selected fittings and local project requirements before the order is finalized.
Shortlist by reference
Two basins can look similar in a small image and still differ in deck depth, underside shape or installation method. Keep the reference number with each saved image. For a multi-room project, identify which basin belongs to each room type and note the quantity separately. This makes it easier to compare drawings and discuss a consistent selection.
Confirm the installation drawing, support requirements, faucet and waste compatibility for the selected model before work starts.
Put it into your project
Save the references for the products on your shortlist. Send the quantities, required dimensions, preferred finish, destination and target timing to Anhe Bath so the product details can be discussed together.
